I plan to be at Alliance for Nuclear Accountability DC Days from May 30 to June 3rd (see below).  The wonderful Eleanor Holmes Norton, who has introduced the "Nuclear Weapons Abolition and Conversion Act" into the House of Representatives every session since 1994, after a successful voter initiative in DC in 1993, won't be running for Congress again.  We hope that one of the cosponsors will step up and introduce it next session.  See http://prop1.org for a history of the bill  (HR-1888 this session).

On June 3rd there will be a gathering in Lafayette Park north of the White House to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the founding the round-the-clock antinuclear vigil by William Thomas.  The vigil signs were taken down at Trump's order in September 2025 and not returned.  The vigilers still go to the park with hand-held signs.

I hope you will be able to make it to both ANA DC Days and the rally to be held in Lafayette Park to call on the administration to 1) obey the Constitution and its amendments protecting free speech and assembly, 2) the right to life, liberty and pursuit of justice for all ... and to sign the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.  Bring your signs, flyers, drums....!
