Today the UK’s Nuclear Test Veterans have launched a new campaign and they need your help.
Starting in the 1950s, the UK Nuclear Test Veterans were ordered to participate in the nuclear tests. They were given no protection, and nobody told them the harm it would cause. Andy Burnham has long stood by them. He called what happened to them “a criminal cover-up on an industrial scale”.
That’s why the veterans have launched a new campaign. They are calling on Andy Burnham to keep his word. They believe now he is Prime Minister he can finally deliver truth and justice.

In the years after the nuclear tests, veterans and their descendants have suffered lifelong health conditions. Evidence has come to light that their own medical records were either negligently not taken, lost, destroyed or classified in a cover-up. They have never had an apology. The USA, France, Canada and Australia have all compensated their nuclear test veterans. Britain has not.
The
veterans are now calling for the Prime Minister to deliver a
Truth, Justice and Legacy Special Tribunal for Nuclear Testing
Veterans.
