A New York Focused Forum will include:

 

• NYS Energy Budget; propose 5 new nukes and subsidies extended for 4 old aging reactors on Lake Ontario.  
   
• Rolling back/loss of resources for Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA).
   
• No significant support for renewables with storage and efficiency at any state agencies.
   
• Governor Hochul's current proposal to cut back NY's Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act 
   
• Outrageous costs. 
   
• Health and water impacts and radioactive waste stored on site indefinitely.
   
• Call for a Moratorium on funding new nuclear reactors in NY.
   

 

 

With Fred Harrison on Shoreham, which was built, but never operated.  It has since been decommissioned, but Long Island ratepayers are still paying for its construction.

 

Susan Shapiro, Esq.: Past & present dangers at Indian Point, which Holtec now proposes to rebuild.
