tariffs on India as
punishment for
importing Russian oil
even as the US
continues to import
uranium concentrate
from Russia and its
neighbors Kazakhstan
and Uzbekistan, still
under Russian
influence for uranium
transactions. Trump
also accused India of
not caring about the
suffering of people in
Ukraine under Russia's
"War Machine", but
bragged about his
great friendship with
Russian premier,
Vladimir Putin, with
whom he met last month

A network of civil society
groups in India is
campaigning to stop
their government from
amending important
nuclear laws that
would smooth the way
for foreign
investments and
private corporate
construction of new
nuclear power plants,
which they oppose. In
a press conference
(pictured), they also
warned against the
weakening of the
nuclear liability law,
whose cap for industry
responsibility is
