his role in
Hiroshima who
publicly
expressed
remorse and
called for an
end to the
nuclear
threat, only
to become the
target of a
campaign that
attacked his
sanity, and
discredited
his motives.
Wilfred
Burchett — the journalist who reached
Hiroshima and
reported on
the horrific
effects of
radiation,
challenging
the official
U.S. narrative
and ultimately
losing his
press
accreditation.
What
happens when
those who
expose the
consequences
of nuclear war
become targets
of the
narrative
machine?

why does this
history matter
now
— as the doctrine of mutually
assured
destruction
(MAD) gives
way to the
perilous
illusion
that
a “limited”
tactical
nuclear strike
