Hey everybody,

Welcome back from spring break!  I hope that everyone in class this semester enjoyed a brief break from schoolwork last week, and was able to come back well rested and ready to go for the rest of the semester.  For those of you on co-op, you're already almost at the half-way point!  Regardless of whether you are in classes or on co-op Agape is back this Thursday!  Hopefully, you didn't miss us too much last week... but we are back and better than ever!  Keep reading to find out more about what is going on in Agape this week!

Thursday - 3/12 Weekly meeting in 444 CSC
Agape will be meeting this Thursday at 7:30 as always in 444 Curry Student Center.  This week we'll be looking at a topic that is near and dear to most of our hearts - the concept of Christian community.  Thursday night we'll begin thinking about what our needs and problems are, and how we can be like Christ and serve someone else within our community.  In addition, Agape's leadership team will take turns sharing a little bit about how God serves our needs through others and specific examples of what God has been teaching us.  Also, in the spirit of community we will have a time of fellowship with one another following the meeting for those who are interested!

Thursday Night Planning Team - 3/12 6:00 outside of 444 CSC!
Agape wants you!  Feel like having a say in what goes on during the weekly Thursday night meeting?  Do you have any ideas for ice breakers, discussion topics etc?  If so, or if you just want to hang out with some cool people before the weekly Agape meeting, please consider becoming part of the Thursday night planning team.  We'll be getting together every Thursday at 6:00 outside of 444 Curry Student Center and relocating downstairs if necessary, in order to plan the following Thursday night's meeting.  By coming to one meeting doesn't mean that you have to come to all!  If you weren't able to come last semester, it's not too late to try out Thursday night planning team this semester.  Why don't we have an Agape challenge that everyone in Agape comes to Thursday night planning at least once this semester?  You just might realize how cool it is to have an impact on Thursday night meetings!

Real Life Boston - 3/13 6:30 at the husky in Ell
Real Life Boston is a collection of Campus Crusade for Christ student ministries on campuses throughout the city of Boston and gets together every Friday night at either BU or Harvard at 7:30.  Real Life will be back in action this Friday at Harvard at 7:30.  Come for a time of worship, teaching, and fellowship.  We'll be meeting at the husky in Ell Hall at 6:30 if you'd like to head over to Harvard together.

MIT Veritas Forum - Wednesday and Friday Evening, Saturday Afternoon
The Veritas Forum at MIT seeks to explore the possibility of truth, beauty and goodness in every aspect of our academic and personal lives. The forum is an opportunity for the entire university community to explore and discuss life's hardest questions together.  MIT will be hosting three separate events this week that are open to Northeastern students.  These events are being hosted by MIT's on campus Christian groups.  If you are interested in attending please check out the schedule below for specific times and locations.

Life Groups - Still going strong!
Life groups are small groups of people who meet up to get to know one another, and spend time getting to know God better together. If you've never been in one, you should really give one a try. It can make a big difference.  Life group listings and contact info is available at www.agape.neu.edu ... so check it out and sign-up! :)  If you can't come Thursday night feel free to email Ali (shel...@neu.edu) for more info.

Morning Prayer - Still going strong!
Come join us every morning (Monday - Friday) at 7:14 as we host morning prayer in the Agape office (240 Curry Student Center).  It may be early, but what better way to start your day then to spend time with God!  As always, feel free to email prayer requests and let us know how we can be praying for you.  Since there has been recent debate about the top 5 reasons to come to morning prayer why don't you come to morning prayer and come up with some new reasons of your own?  Keep posted for next week when hopefully we'll have 5 new top reasons to come to morning prayer!

Evening Prayer - Still going strong!
Feel like praying at 7:14 in the morning is just a little too early for you?  If you're not a morning person but still want to participate in group prayer come join us for evening prayer at 6:00PM on Monday and Wednesday evenings in the Agape office (240 Curry Student Center).  Please come and check it out for yourself!  For more info talk to Cody!  (If you didn't come to last Thursday's meeting and get the evening prayer plug... Cody really wants you there!  And guess what?  Prayer's really cool too... why don't you check it out tonight... what's stopping you?)

God bless,
Ali

Hey everybody,

It's that time again for the weekly email!  I know you all are super excited!  Even though the semester is steadily underway, please consider taking a break from life's business and participating in a few of the Agape events that are listed below.  Even if you haven't been around at Agape that much this semester, it's never too late to make an appearance.  Agape works best when we are all growing together  :)

Thursday - 3/19 Weekly meeting in 444 CSC
Agape will be meeting this Thursday at 7:30 as always in 444 Curry Student Center.  This week we'll be continuing with a variation of what we began discussing last week.  Last week we began talking about our needs and how as a Christian community we can serve the needs of one another.  Tomorrow night we'll have a night of service in which we'll serve the needs of our campus and the city of Boston.  Come join us as we distribute sandwiches to the homeless, coffee and donuts to weary students, and encouragement cards for classmates and friends.  We'll be kicking off the meeting with a time of worship :)

You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.  The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."  Galatians 5:13-14
