About Mr. Yan Zhang

Yan Zhang is a partner in the corporate practice in the Silicon Valley office of Haynes and Boone, LLP. He represents public and private companies in corporate and securities matters in a variety of industries, and the financial institutions that invest in or provide services to them.

His practice has a particular emphasis on Greater China-focused crossborder transactions. Yan's experiences include public offering and private placement of securities, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and foreign direct investment, general corporate governance and compliance matters. Yan also works with private equity and venture capital funds in their investment activities and their portfolio company matters. In addition, Yan regularly advises foreign companies on doing business in China and Chinese companies on investing in the United States.

Prior to joining Haynes and Boone, Yan worked at major international law firms in both Silicon Valley and China. Yan started his legal career as an international law attorney with a tax boutique firm in Washington, D.C.
