Dear Professor Lafont:

The Department of Philosophy at Northern Illinois University
anticipates needing to hire an
additional instructor for this fall semester, appointment to begin
August 16, 2011.  The anticipated
appointment would be full time for the fall only, but there is a
possibility of reappointment for
the spring.  It would involve teaching four sections of Contemporary
Moral Issues, each section
staffed with a TA to do grading and hold office hours.  All sections
in the fall are scheduled on a
MWF schedule.  The appointment would come with insurance benefits, and
for the fall it would pay
$15,997.50 for candidates with an M.A. degree and $16,800 for
candidates with the Ph.D.

I would very much appreciate it if you could forward this information
to any qualified currently
enrolled students, or recent graduates, of your program.  If they are
interested, they can email me
with any questions.  To apply, they need only send me an email
expressing interest in the position
and a current CV including the names and contact information of at
least three references.
