ubnt firmware lockdown issue

Team,

Does anybody have a solution for the ubnt firmware stupidity where you
can't downgrade firmware?


I just bought 2 nano's from amazon and have been trying to get them
downgraded so I can put aredn on them.

I think they have 5.6.10

Jay,

Can you check to see if they are XM or XW versions? This should be a line item on the main status page of the OEM firmware.

A few of the Denton guys have run into an issue where XW-version NS M2 Locos are being sold from Amazon but aren't quite supported yet. The AREDN dev team is aware of the issue and have been working on a release.

I'd wait. I know there's an alpha release that's working well, which means an RC can't be far behind. The AREDN guys are amazingly quick with these; it only took 3 or 4 days from the feature request to an alpha release.
