AREDN team,

This afternoon I conducted a site test at Heights Park — SUCCESS!  This was my setup:

— Radio: Ubiquity Rocket M2
— Antenna: Ubiquity AMO-2G10 Dual Polarity Omni
— Support: PVC mast ~ 7 feet
— Power: Ubiquity POE connected to pavilion AC
— Setup time: 10 minutes (no Pi, just the radio/antenna)
— Current Neighbors: K5UTD-Southwest & K5UTD-Southeast
— Remote Nodes: KE5GDB-NanoStation & K5UTD-North

I posted a text-only site test report message using KE5GDB-NanoStation Mesh Chat.

We now have six park sites that we can use for our proposed 20160827 AREDN-in-the-Park #4: test nodes dispersed external to park (multi-site node deployment).

My next park site test will be at Lookout Park.  If anyone is interested in site testing with me, please let me know; I am flexible as to day and time of day.  If you conduct any site testing (anywhere), please share your results.

Thank you and 73,

Paul — KA5TYW

Paul,

Setup time down to ~10 min!  WoW!  Just shows how persistent practice pays off.

Looks like you have stream lined the setup to just the essentials.

Great work!

My plan is to setup at Creek Hollow Saturday morning around 9AM, weather permitting.

Hi, Bill.

I had family obligations Saturday.  How was your setup?

Paul
