I am an AREDN newbie.

I have two identical nodes set up in the same room with AREDN firmware version 1.16.1.1.

Each node consists of a Win 10 computer, a NSM5, and an Air Router AR (not HP).

I can access each router from each computer and I have installed MeshChat successfully.

What I would like to know is:

1. What other “packages” (e.g. mesh chat) are available?

2. How do I access one PC from another PC on the mesh?

3. How do I use the tunnel?   It has been set up for me by another ham, but I do not know how to use it.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Tnx & 73

Butch,

1. Currently MeshChat is the only package that's widely used in the DFW area. We have been discussing additional applications, but most of that will be done with Raspberry Pis and other hardware.
2. Define "access." File sharing? Screen sharing? Voice call? How you have your node configured will influence the ease of these applications.
3. The tunnel is good for making connections over the internet while still attempting to make those links via RF. Is this what you're trying to get out of it?
