Don't see any recent activity on here.  Wondering if there is still any Arden going on in the metroplex.  Considering setting up a node, but don't want to waste time or money if there are no other nodes that I can reach.

LOTS of AREDN nodes are up around the metroplex, but I haven't seen activity on this email list in a while

Can someone provide a link to a map with the current node locations?

I have a node to put up but need to know which way to aim it. I’m at Spur 408/I20. Would welcome any guidance.

The AREDN official map is generally the best resource: https://www.arednmesh.org/content/aredn-map-0

Just keep in mind the “last updated” field is the last time the node’s status was updated in the database. Not every node has internet access, so an old date doesn’t mean it’s dead.

Okay, well I see the nearest AP to me is a little over 4 miles from me and several within 10 miles.  What kind of range can I expect for a reasonably priced AP (under say $100 - 150)?  I can probably get the AP 20 feet in the air, MAYBE closer to 30, but that is mounting in a tree.  If any would do, what are your recommendations for an AP?  I would probably put in on the internet using a Pi if I need a computer.  If I can go directly into my firewall, making a new DMZ shouldn't be a problem either.
