The following is an announcement of mini-MAGNTS (Midwest Arithmetic Geometry and Number Theory Series) that will take place online on August 11, 2021. While it is not a full conference, there will be an opportunity to present a poster, a career development session (a panel on how to give good talks, and a job panel in which the participants will have an opportunity to view MathJobs from the employers' perspective), and a puzzle-solving social hour (a chance to win $100 in an Amazon gift certificate!).

The puzzle-solving social hour is hosted by Joey Thompson of SIG, and it requires a separate sign-up at https://forms.gle/cnkGpKmdKg3vKrZe8.

MAGNTS (Midwest Arithmetic Geometry and Number Theory Series) is a recurring weekend number theory workshop with mini-courses, research talks, poster sessions, and career panels, which rotates among universities in the Midwest. The next full MAGNTS is scheduled for Spring 2022, but first, there will be a one-day virtual miniMAGNTS on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, featuring a career development session, a poster session, and an evening social event.
