Friends —

In case you or anyone in your orbit is interested, I’d like to call your attention to this year’s Simons Lectures, which will be given by Joe Silverman during the week of March 24:

Tales from the Crossroads Where Dynamics, Arithmetic and Geometry Meet.

Lecture 1. Arithmetic Dynamics: A Survey of Motivating Problems and Results

Tues March 25, 2:15 pm

Lecture 2. Are Orbits of Rational Points Widely Spaced?

Wed March 26, 4pm

Lecture 3. Dynamical Moduli Spaces, Critical Points, and Canonical Heights

Thurs March 27, 2:15 pm

They will be live-streamed by the Simons Center at https://scgp.stonybrook.edu/live , and they will be archived on the Simons Center website.

I am attaching a poster.

Best,

Rob
