See below. If you liked Jon Bober's talk in the NTS last week, you'll love the "Arithmetic Statistics" summer school I'm co-organizing this summer in Utah. See below for how to apply.

Dear 2012 MRC organizers,
I wanted to let you know that we sent out a mass emailing today to encourage early career mathematicians to apply to the MRC program. The text of the email message appears below. We used the email addresses of our Graduate Student members and Entry-level Regular members (first 5 years of paying membership) for this emailing.
We haven't done such a broad email effort before and we hope that it will help generate more applications. Do be aware that we may get some applicants who are not really appropriate for your program. We still depend your help in reaching out to colleagues and students.
Best wishes, Ellen

Dear Early Career Mathematician,
The American Mathematical Society would like to encourage you to consider applying to the Mathematics Research Communities program for 2012. This dynamic program is designed to support you as you begin your research career. We hope that you will meet others working in your area with whom you can forge long-lasting collaborations.
The program includes funding to support you at a summer conference next summer at Snowbird, Utah, and partial funding to attend the Joint Mathematics Meetings in San Diego next January. In 2012, the topics will be:
* Discrete and Computational Geometry
* Partial Differential Equations, Harmonic Analysis, Complex Analysis and Geometric Measure Theory
* Geometry and Representation Theory Related to Geometric Complexity and Other Variants of P v. NP.
* Arithmetic Statistics
Please consider applying if your research falls in one of these areas. For more information about the individual conferences and for instructions on how to apply, please go to
http://www.ams.org/programs/research-communities/mrc-12. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2012. The Mathematics Research Communities program is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.
If you have additional questions about the program, feel free to write to me at
mrc...@ams.org.
Best wishes,
Ellen Maycock
