Dear  algebraic geometry folks of the West, 

I am happy to announce that WAGS will be happening in person on April 22-24, 2022  in Fort Collins, CO.

We have a great lineup of speakers:

• Jordan Ellenberg, University of Wisconsin-Madison

• Sarah Frei, Rice University

• Patricio Gallardo, UC Riverside

• Tyler Kelly, University of Birmingham

• Burt Totaro, UCLA

• Ravi Vakil, Stanford University

• Cynthia Vinzant, University of Washington

The webpage contains basic logistical information, and importantly a registration form!
Please register early - especially if you will be requesting funding. We aim to make funding decisions by the end of March, and so if you could have your registration in by March 20th that would really help.

Note: of course we understand we are still in a pandemic (sigh...), which makes traveling decisions more difficult than usual. Nonetheless, we have decided to try and be optimistic and plan an in person event, especially because we miss the value of gathering in person after a long time away from each other. We ask you to make the best decision you can make given the current situation, and to be ready to be flexible if the situation changes. 

It would be great if you could spread the word around your department, since many younger folks might not be part of the wags mailing list! Thanks for the attention and hope to see you in April in Fort Collins!
