See below for a conference announcement.  UW Madison has hosted several of these weekend conferences aimed at junior researchers in AG/NT and they are really well run -- I encourage you to apply!

Dear colleagues,

I’m writing to draw your attention to a weekend workshop on "Arithmetic and Topology over global fields" at University of Wisconsin-Madison on Oct 7-9 this Fall. Here <https://sites.google.com/view/october-workshop/home> is a link to the conference website.

The workshop is targeting arithmetic geometers in all career stages. In particular, we provide a poster session for graduate students to present work. There is limited support available for participants who might require funding for travel and/or accommodation. The application deadline for funding is August 15th. Junior participants (graduate students and postdocs), participants from historically under-represented communities, and graduate students presenting posters, will be prioritized for funding.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
Wanlin
