Eligibility Criteria:

Years of Experience: 4 to 7

Educational qualification: B.E / B.Tech or M.E / M.Tech (Mechanical)

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Will perform component and assembly design
  • Responsible for materials selection, design analysis, and cost reduction activities
  • Responsible for creating parts and assembly drawings, structuring of bills of materials, and performing product release activities
  • Responsible for creating conceptual designs, getting approvals and generating detailed design
  • Responsible for guiding other engineers in creating parts and assembly drawings, structuring of bills of materials, and performing product release activities

 

Mandatory Skills:

  • Experience with the design of components and complex assemblies using Unigraphics NX. 
  • More than 3,000 hours of experience using UG-NX.  Previous use of  NX/Sheetmetal module is a plus.
  • Background in materials selection & design using various ferrous and non-ferrous metal alloys
  • Able to generate conceptual designs from brief functional specifications and translates approved concepts to detailed designs
  • Able to perform simple design calculations (stress/strain analysis, heat transfer and thermodynamics) and interact with computational modeling experts to produce detailed simulations
  • Excellent communication skill

 

Desirable Skill:

  • Experience with documentation standards and Engineering Change Order process
  • Experience with fabrication processes such as welding, machining, sheet-metal, casting
  • Able to work from brief functional specifications and provide conceptual and detailed designs
  • Experience in capital equipment or automobile industry employing a top-down design approach for major subassemblies and subsystems
  • Experience of components design using ProEngineer.
