in Bangalore. They are looking for a Design Engineer with 1Y – 2Y of experience. Given below is a detailed description on the kind of profile we are looking for.

The IIC Mechanical Centre of Excellence (MCOE) have expertise in mechanical design - CAD, electrical design, Structural analysis-stress, vibration analysis and Fatigue, CFD and Heat transfer analysis, Technical publications etc related to aerospace, automobile,
Industrial, refrigeration, Oil hydraulics and Turbo machinery domains. It can also supports prototyping, testing and sourcing.
Position summary
· Design & Drafting of the sheet metal parts required for home appliances using AutoCAD or 3D modeling package.
· Responsible for design suggestions / modifications to meet the customers’ specifications.
· Co-ordinate with USA Design counterparts.
· Project management, Process & Project reviews and communications, including following the established design processes
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
· Design & Drafting, parametric modeling required for the majority of product lines using AutoCAD & 3D modeling package. Contribute new ideas to enhance both the design methodology, automation etc.
· Independently should handle Design work on new product family
· Complete review of the Auto CAD & 3D models, manufacturing drawings (Form-Fit-Function), assembly drawings, BOM w.r.t concept design/customer drawing/manufacturing requirements/assembly/performance/testing
· 3D modeling/drafting & Concept 3D modeling of Sheet metal parts independently in any 3D software (solid works will be added advantage), piping design and selection as per ASTM standards

Project management and communications, inlcuding following the established design processes
Note-
Candidates with 60 % will be Eligible
Education, experience and Skills required.
· BE/B.Tech. In Mechanical / Production Engineering from a reputed institute, with 1 ~2 years of experience in mechanical product design.
· Domain knowledge in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning (Commercial industrial systems, parallel racks, mechanical enclosures etc), heat exchangers and compressors will be an added advantage
· Application experience with AutoCAD & 3D modeling /manufacturing drawings in Solid works software using GD&T.
· Familiarity with common design calculations (No. of bolts, Torque, Free body diagrams etc.) will be very beneficial.
· Knowledge about Refrigerants and fabrication technology and working experience with sheet metal parts is expected.
