We currently use MCM plus PatchMyPC, for all of our endpoint/server patching. Our ISO recently brought in Tanium. The Tanium sales folks are doing their best to sell their product as a replacement for all kinds of tools we’ve been using for years, and the ISO is buying into it, for the “single pane of glass” argument. With our servers, we have specific deployment groups, based on reboot needs, etc. We are not able to just allow auto-reboot. I’m just not sure that any product can do “everything”, so I am leery of converting to Tanium, when we have a perfectly working solution already.
So, my question is: Is anyone out there using Tanium for patching? If so, is it a good experience, or not?

I’m not using it but Michael Niehaus is working there now and he claims to have brought them a long way…
Thanks.
