Maintenance window question

I’m setting up a new patching scheme, for some specific application servers.  There are 2 collections, one that has ALL of the servers, and one that has the Dev/Test servers.  I’m using a maintenance window to allow auto-reboots. The maintenance window is tied to the collection with ALL the servers. My brain tells me that due to this, the Dev/Test deployment will abide by the maintenance window, as well, since the servers being patched are in that bigger collection.  Am I right, or do I need to add the smaller collection to the Maintenance window collection, as well, to cover?  I think I’m overthinking…
