I've been out of the deployment game for a while (5+ years), and we're starting to do a mass replacement of machines to meet the deadline for EOS for Win10 and Win11 23H2.

Our helpdesk is struggling to do more than a couple of machines at a time, and I think deploying an 8 port IP KVM would do wonders for their productivity.

Anyone out there have a preferred brand/model that isn't terribly expensive?

We’re doing a PC refresh right now and got this one for $100 for a tech to do imaging:  Amazon.com: MT-VIKI 8 Port KVM Switch HDMI, 4K@30Hz 1U Rack Mount KVM Switch w/IR Remote & Wire-Desktop Controller & 8 HDMI KVM Cables & Rack Ears & Power Adapter : Electronics

I can’t tell you a lot about it since I’m not the one who uses it.  But the guy who does seems to like it.  It’s been in use for about a month.

To semi-hijack this thread, does anyone have experience with KVM over IP and maybe recommend devices? We are looking at buying these for our clients, for full remote maintenance. This is an example:

For datacenter/enterprise level KVM over IP, I used Avocent KVM devices in the past but they are not cheap. They are now owned by a different company (Vertiv) KVM Switches, Serial Consoles, Software | Avocent and Cybex and I can't attest to their quality. I haven't had the need to use them recently since most of our servers and storage appliances have built-in IP console access and are very easy to set up. I have also used IOGEAR KVM at home as they were the only reasonably priced device that supported 4k resolution at the time.

Hmmm...

That's not IP capable.

This might be useful

I can't tell if it comes with cables, but otherwise it seems reasonable.
