My last reply to Erik seems not to have made it to the list - I received an NDR, which is quite unusual.

At any rate, my thanks to all who have responded to my retirement announcement.

You may return to your regularly scheduled programming.

I've been checking what I can check, and I haven't seen anything on the administrative side of things 🤷‍♂️

I get an occasional bounce from the list. For some reason, Google sometimes classifies my posts as spam. I change a couple of words, resend it, and it goes through.

No idea why.

Unfortunately, there isn't anything for me to see on my end regarding those types of rejections. There aren't any logs of that nature on the admin side of Google Groups. I only see what I consider a spam filter folder that I can approve/delete/ban from. It's actually kind of rare that anything is filtered to it. It's either a super-obvious spam (good job) or the occasional ham message that has been mailed improperly (bad email authentication issues) from members sending from improperly configured mobile clients (typically).

I'm surprised to hear that you or Kurt would be having issues like this. I would figure any content problems would at least make their way to the spam filter folder for manual approval and not get an outright rejection from the server.

That NDR is the first I've seen in years at least, and possibly ever. Incredibly rare, so I'm not attaching much significance to it.

Google is notorious for blocking messages suspected as spam without providing log access to admins to determine why it was blocked. It's my biggest complaint about their mail service. It's probably not a major issue in this instance but we've had people who were trying to send time sensitive messages that were getting blocked and even after opening a support case with Gmail support we were told that it's proprietary information and they couldn't share the reason with us.

I think I brought it up to you once. You wrote pretty much what you wrote below. So I just chalked it up to “do all the evil” and moved on. 😊
