We’re using Azure VDI for a number of users to connect to remotely and do their work. I have GPOs that set certain things on endpoints.  If I RDP to the VDI host that I’m testing with, there are certain settings that are not being applied. But, if I run gpresult /H, and look at the resultant report, that report says that those settings are, in fact, being applied, by the GPO that I expect to set them. With it being afternoon on Friday, I’m kind of at my wit’s end. And, I don’t know enough about how VDI pools/hosts work, to know whether or not I should even see these settings on the host, or if I would only see them applied if I connect as a user.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe Heaton

Might have had a similar issue with AWS workspaces. Thing is; user profiles are stored on a different drive than the OS. Not sure if in your policies you reference C:\Users but in AWS I had to create new policies referencing E:\Users.

That’s interesting… does anyone know where things under Network & Internet in the Settings would be kept?

Using an old XP set of templates you can manage Internet settings. Otherwise you’ll need the Edge or Chrome templates.
