Discard and Pop Out Outlook Buttons Missing after Upgrading to Office 2408 Build 17928.20392

We have noticed that the discard and pop out buttons are now missing when replying to an e-mail. For example, if you click reply to an email in the reading pane there is no option to pop out and make it a full screen window anymore.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a way to get the buttons back? I’ve tried messing with the different views and reviewing toolbar commands. I can’t seem to find what brings them back.
I did find this setting, but it doesn’t quite provide the same functionality.
FWIW, we are using Group Policy to turn off automatic migrations so that Outlook doesn’t migrate to the new Outlook, so I don’t think it is a matter of outlook migrating to the new outlook and turning it off…but never say never in IT. 😊

I haven’t heard this specific issue, but 2408 was a MAJOR update. I’m not surprised that they might have broken this, they broke a lot of other stuff (so I’ve read).

Yes, thank you for the release notes. Prior to deploying the update, I sent those to our Trainers so that they could review and update their documentation as needed. Thankfully, it is just IT testing for a while before we roll this out to the masses.
