Hey guys,
I feel that this article would be excellent for everyone to read for
background because it foils two villages in Eastern Alaska - one that
is decidedly opposed to oil/natural gas exploration and has developed
independently and another that was once adamantly in-favor of oil/
natural gas exploration but the community has now become split as its
costs have become apparent. The article hi-lights many of the points
that we discussed as a group and that people are researching
independently.

I'm also planning on interviewing the author to understand more of the
native culture and the context of the situation. He would be able to
put us in touch with people up in Alaska should he not be able to
answer any of our questions, so pass them along should any arise.
Best,
Mack
