New Delhi: Capacity utilisation of coal-based power plants in the country will increase due to strong demand in the coming days, Gurdeep singh, the chairman and managing director of state-run power giant NTPC, has said. In the Annual Report for 2021-22 of NTPC, Singh stated in a message to shareholders that "it is pertinent to mention that the period of low dispatch of power from our stations and 'supply overhang' in the country seems to be over.

Torrent Power is to acquire vector Green energy, a US-based Global Infrastructure Partners 700 MW clean electricity platform for India – according to multiple people who are aware of the development. The deal is estimated to be worth around Rs 5,000 crore. Asia's largest compressed biogas plant launched in SangrurUsing ammonia to heal perovskite film for solar panel construction


In a step towards clean and green energy, Asia’s largest compressed biogas (CBG) plant has been commissioned in Sangrur district. Minister for New and Renewable Energy Sources Aman Arora said the plant with a total capacity of 33.23 tonnes CBG per day had been commissioned at Bhuttal Kalan village and was supplying the same to Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Besides, the Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) has also allocated 42 additional CBG projects (total capacity 492.58 tonnes    Read more...
