We at the Galaxy Drive-In Theatre have been contacted about a photo shoot for Texas Highways Magazine - http://www.texashighways.com/

Big exposure!   They want convertibles who might be interested.   It would be great to have a big showing on this date: Friday November 13.

I'm glad you asked.   I just got confirmation from the photographer today that they are still coming this Friday.     I was out at the drive-in tonight talking to the owners and they are excited as well. 

We are going to be shooting on Screen #3 which is to the west and has a nice sunset behind it.  On that screen this weekend will be the new movie "2012" and "the Step Father".     So you will have the newest release to see. 

Texas Highways photographers will be there at 4:00pm to set up the shots with lighting, etc. and we want to be absolutely sure that we have cars there early to prepare for the shoot.  There is a very small window of time that they can get the perfects shots at dusk.   So they are asking that cars arrive as close to 4:00 as well.    There is no guarantee that you or your car will make the magazine spread, but it will be much better to have a large showing.     Anyone that arrives early gets into the movies for free - we'll even provide soft drinks from the snack bar.  

PLEASE confirm back to me that you can make the shoot this Friday.

I will  be able to attend the shoot and was wondering if maybe a GI in uniform would be a good idea in Honor of our Fallen at Ft Hood and being Veteran's Day this Wednesday.  I wouldn't mind showing up in my uniform be it my blues (Air Force) or my utility uniform for the shoot.

 

Please advise.

 

P.S. I need the address to the drive in and I can GPS my way there on time.  Thanks in advance.

Got a couple of questions -- Will we be able to duck out after the shoot, without having to stay for the movie?  We are headed to Houston for NMRA -- want to get in Friday night.

Is there a map to the drive-in?

If we're not locked in to the movie, we'll definitely be there.

Jim,

Sure you can take off before the movie.  If you want to just stop by for the photo shoot that will be fine.  The drive-in is at Exit #255 as you are heading south on I-45 toward Houston.    You will see it on the right.     There is also a link to google maps on the website:

Bentley - you can still come out for the movie -- I am hoping to make this a NTMC / SCAT club night out at the drive-in, regardless if you are in the photo shoot or not!   

The movies start at 8:00pm on Fridays - but you want to be there around 6:30 or 7:00 if you all want to park together.

Friday the 13th?!? GRRRRRR!

My 94 mustang convertible and I would LOVE to attend, but it has
absolutely NO oil pressure. This weekend we're installing a new oil
pump. Oh well. I guess I cant be too ticked off about it. If it it
worked, Id still have to take off work, and not pick up my husband at
the airport. At least it got a fake photoshoot at the galaxy in
2005...
