I have a problem. I want to transfer my existing ntl account over to another person living in my house.
I want to do this as she wants to continue the service, and I am looking to move out of the house.
What is the best way to do this?

The best thing to do, is write a letter into ntl's customer support department detailing that you would like to transfer your account into your friends name. Once you have sent this letter, give it about 5 to 7 days from the day of postage and get your friend to ring in to their sales department. Them the sales department will sign him or her up with the same number and there will a disconnect/reconnect, the whole process will only take about 1hr of having no service to the account being transferred. It may seem such an inconvenience having to write a letter but due to data protection laws this has to be done.
