moving router and cablemodem - advice sought

Hi.
I'm in the process of rearranging the Computers and peripherals in my
office and have a few points I need clarifying. If anyone could help
I'd be most obliged. First off, I want to move the SMC barricade
router and the Terayon Terajet cable modem to another part of the
room. This will involve turning off both the the CM and the router
whilst I move them and re-arrange cables, etc. Is this likely to cause
me any problems?

Is it OK to unhook the CM from the cable itself while I do this?

Is there any order in which I should power the devices back up? The
cable modem is attached to the Barricade which is, in turn, attached
to a NIC in my main PC. Thanks in advance for any advice you may have
to offer.
