Lost connectivity through the cable modem late Tuesday night (1:30am)
and haven't had it back since except for a couple of five minute
periods.

Its now Sunday.

The messages on their site and phone numbers about connectivity
problems in this area have vanished, which you'd THINK would mean its
fixed.
but no, its still screwed.

Not only that, but outgoing mail on the ntl mail server bounces.

Well hurrah.

Tech support of theirs so far seems about as much use as a chocolate
fireguard.

Has anyone found out anything about connectivity in this area?
(Reading, Basingstoke, Guildford) if so, could they possibly mail me
and let me know what they found out?

Cheerz

I know the spammers'll get me but my addy is...

gr...@postmort.demon.co.uk

I'll post if I find out anything tommorow when I've got time to sit on
hold for an hour.

Thanks for all the assist guys :-P

Well, get this little gem...

Apparently they do realise there is a problem, though they are not
posting such to their website or putting it on their status messages.

However, the problem lies at the local router, and they won't send an
engineer to fix it until they have had 100 complaints.

I doubt there are 100 cable modem users in our area.

Lame.

I am harassing them though.

Anyone know any good industry watchdogs?
