Ive got a part that I'm drawing up for quotation that has a series of holes arranged in a circular pattern. Is there a way to add a sketched line (or a marked-up circle in a similar fashion to a centreline) to the drawing to illustrate this to our machineshop? I'm having to use a somewhat inelegant solution at the moment that will break if I change the dimensions of the PCD in the model (see attached)
Thank you for posting your questions. Both items are high on our priority list and are on our roadmap. Our plan for your PCD line question is to add basic geometry creation commands to the drawing workspace. On your drill/tap information, that is also known as hole/thread notes. We are currently working on a symbol palette that will include hole and thread symbols, but it will still require you to enter the information manually. When hole/thread notes are complete, we will have autopopulation behavior you describe below. I can't commit to a date when they will be available, but they are fairly high on our list. Please let me know if you have further questions.
Currently we do not have the option of creating either pattern centerlines (like this for the bolt circle) or adding 2D geometry to draw this in. For this scenario currently the options are to add this information in the hole callout (as tjstepens did) or place a linear or aligned dim across the centermarks of 2 holes and add the PCD note there. I understand neither of these workarounds is ideal, but as Kris mentions above we are aware of the request and it is on the roadmap.
I haven't had to use the drawing mode up until a couple of weeks ago, and that part of the package has left me wanting. Seriously. I am looking at moving my whole project back to the legacy software that I've been using. It's a shame that such as I said before FUNDAMENTAL tools are missing from the drawing package. It's a chore to get half assed manufacturing drawings out the door to vendors.
In addition to cmiller66's idea, which works great for an even number of holes, if you have an odd number of holes and a circular feature concentric to the PCD, you can call out a PCR (radius) instead.
That sets the drawings settings for new drawings. Once a drawing is created, it takes on the contents of the *.dtl file and saves those settings inside teh drawing file. Changes to the *.dtl on disk are not propagated to existing drawings unless you manually load the updated file.
Unfortunately it does not let you select the radial centerlines for dimensioning. If you created your initial hole with a diameter bolt circle dimension, you can show that dimension. That is the best option.

Wire drawing dies are commonly used to reduce the diameter of various ferrous and non-ferrous rods and wires. Applications include high, medium and low voltage cables, automotive, medical wire, superconducting, bonding, and welding wires.
Polycrystalline diamond dies enable a long drawing die life even at high process speeds and high demanding applications. Esteves Group PCD drawing dies are manufactured with a mirror polish and a smooth wire entry to ensure optimal die life and string-up.
Balloffet designs and realizes the best drawing dies, single or polycrystalline diamond, natural or synthetic.
We advise you to obtain the dies adapted to the metal or drawn alloy.
A wire drawing die is first used to stretch a wire to reduce it to the desired diameter. Whatever its use, the inner geometry of the die is always broken down into 5 parts, each of which plays an essential role in the drawing process: entry cone, reduction cone, bearing, back-relief, exit cone.
You should use polar array. Draw one circle on the PCD circle. Select it then go to array. Chose polar array, choose the centre of the PCD as the centre of the array, choose how many circles are required and the angle to fill (usually 360 ) and that should do what you want.
Another way to do it is to use the polygon command. Choose the number of vertices as the number of holes. Choose INSCRIBED as the method for drawing, with the dia. of the inscribed circle the PCD required. Draw a circle at each vertex.

A class of drawing, some sub-types of which are identifying, that is used to purchase outside Engineered materiel or Engineering services. PCD types include Envelope Drawings, Source Control Drawings, and Vendor Item Control Drawings. The sub-types evolve in very different ways depending on who pays for different types of associated Intellectual Property.

Natural Diamond These drawing dies are made from naturally occurring diamonds, prized for their exceptional hardness and durability. Synthetic Diamond Manufactured diamonds offer consistent quality and are often preferred for their controlled properties and cost-effectiveness. Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) PCD drawing dies utilize diamond particles bonded together, providing high wear resistance and prolonged tool life.
Wire Drawing Commonly used in the production of electrical wires, cables, and metal components, wire drawing dies are essential for shaping materials into desired forms. Tubing Drawing Tubing drawing dies are crucial in manufacturing processes for tubes used in various industries including automotive, construction, and healthcare. Rod Drawing Rod drawing dies are utilized to reduce the diameter of metal rods, essential in the production of bars, wires, and structural components.
