Shorthand

Forgive me if I am posting to the wrong groups, but I thought that you may
have some insight...

My girlfriend is looking to learn shorthand for taking notes in University
lectures, I may also be interested as it would probably save me a lot of
time! I was wondering if anyone would have any recommendations of good web
sites or even just the type of shorthand that I might find easiest?
