NthPlayer Alpha 5 Released

With a bit of blood, a little sweat, and just a few tears, we've
managed to get NthPlayer Alpha 5 out.

New in this release:
- HTML5 WebApp/Widget support completed
- Faster boot time
- Faster menu navigation
- USB Bluetooth dongle hotplug support added
- Improved user interface

What are HTML5 WebApps? HTML5 WebApps provide a super-easy way for
content providers to create applications for televisions running
NthPlayer. All developers need to do is put their HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript into a ZIP file that users download from NthPlayer's
browser. From there, NthPlayer installs the apps in its Applications
menu. Check out the HP12W and WeatherUnderground applications.

NthPlayer Alpha 5 for TI OMAP3 can be downloaded from the downloads
tab of http://nthplayer.nthcode.com

Alpha 6 is planned for release before February 15, 2010. So stay
tuned!
