Sameissue here, in my case is a bit more extreme, since it even randomly crashes my Mac. Not sure if you tested already to connect the camera directly to one of the MacBook ports with a direct USB-C cable, in case you are connecting it through a dock/hub? I have that setup at the moment and it did not crash yet or image stopped, for the last couple of days when going in and out of zoom or team calls. but still early days. this was a tip from the Logitech forum when I tried to troubleshoot the issue a couple of weeks/months ago.

Yeah, I was thinking that probably you already done it. At the moment I have the camera control app installed and when the image freezes it seems to unfreeze when I start the app, but I honestly never tried uninstalling completely the app.

I have used a Logitech 920, 922 for years without problem. A couple of years ago I bought a BRIO.

I was not happy:

1. the stand/foot arrangement is pants. Why did they not keep the same arrangement as on the C920/930 which was immediately compatible with any standard tripod and still allowed you to tilt and adjust the webcam?

2. The logitech software is now awful, even with skype.

I returned the brio for refund.

I was struggling with Logitech Camera Settings app as well. Thanks for this post as I did not know about nor have the LogiTune app installed. For now, this has solved the problem of saving camera settings for me on my MacBook Pro 2019. Thanks!

While apps on the Mac do recognise and use the webcam, the reason I purchased it was to get better control of the lighting, zoom, colour balance functions etc. This is not possible without an additional app.

Thanks for your reply Wayne. Unfortunately the v2.5.12 you refer to is for Windows only, there is no Mac version which is the issue I am raising. When you click on the OS button it just offers different versions of Windows.

@timstringer I just purchased a logitech camera and have struggled to get it to work with my Mac, Catalina 10.15.2, especially through the logitech website. Is Webcam Settings maybe the easiest app to just get started recording (thats my only goal right now)? I have also seen a lot of people mention it but was concerned as all the mentions were 3+ years ago. Its also a paid app, correct?

Maybe I am missing something. I have the Logitech Camera Setting app, but I do not see a way to actually record anything. It just simply shows me the camera view and how each adjustment changes the picture quality.

Since starting this thread I have been using the Logitech Camera Setting app and it seems to do everything I need. The point I mention above re using with ScreenFlow still exists - SF seems to override some of the settings.

Hi, I recently noticed that Logitech C920 webcam videos I record with LogiCapture or OBS and then import into Premiere for editing are playing back with the "visuals" approx 8 frames later than the matching audio. So I hear the audio just a bit before the matching visual. It's not a bottleneck issue because if stop playback and scrub frame by frame, the sound of the handclap is landing approx 8 frames early, as shown by the audio meters.

Both videos were captured at 720p. The OBS recording is 60fps, with audio properties showing 44kHz. The LogiCapture recording is 30fps, with audio properties showing 48kHz. Getting the same issue on both.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

These videos seem to play perfectly synced in Windows Media Player, and if I export from Premiere as is, they play back synced. So it really is ONLY INSIDE PREMIERE timeline it seems. I'm on latest version 14.3.

So it IS only the Logitech webcam footage, whether captured in their software or OBS. (FWIW, I tried both NVIDIA NVENC and software mode.) .... so remains unsolved, and I've sent in a request for support at Logitech in case nobody here can solve this.

SIDE NOTE: When scrubbing frame by frame the smartphone footage, the sound seems ONE frame early but maybe that's because of other factors like ability to render picture EXACTLY same time? I def would not be able to tell if I didn't scrub by frame (unlike the Logitech webcam footage which is blatantly obvious from the start without even scrubbing). I'd like to know though, is it normal for the audio to seem early by 1 frame when scrubbing hand clap frame-by-frame?

Sorry for the issue. Can you please download the cross platform free/shareware app called Media Info and then, in Tree View, create a screenshot and show us by embedding the shot into a reply using the tools above (do not attach, please embed)?

We would appreciate your full system specs including your CPU, GPU, RAM and media drive info. Please ensure that your media is on a separate disk that is spinning at 7200 rpm or better or that the disk is a SSD and the connectivity is at USB 3 or better speeds.

When we record footage and then import in Premiere - if we go frame by frame, should the visuals of the clap MATCH the meters registering the sound at the exact frame? When I scrub I notice it does not, as shown here....
