Whileplaying The Sims 4, you will be able to complete tasks and earn Satisfaction points. As their name suggests, satisfied Sims will get more Satisfaction points. There are multiple ways to obtain these points, both with and without cheats, giving you a few options to choose from.
In this guide, we are going to go over every way to earn Satisfaction points in The Sims 4. Additionally, we will take a look at what you can do with these points, as you can use them to buy a variety of rewards. First, let's look at the best way to earn Satisfaction points.
Updated December 22, 2023 by Jacqueline Zalace: Still looking to rack up your Satisfaction points in The Sims 4? We've updated this guide with a bit more information about rewards store options, including rewards that are DLC-exclusive.
The best way to obtain Satisfaction points (without cheats) is by fulfilling your Sim's aspiration. This is essentially the main life goal of your Sim; in the image above, you can see that the selected Sim wants to become a musical genius.
By completing the tasks listed, you will receive Satisfaction points. Each aspiration has four tiers for you to complete, with every tier rewarding you with Satisfaction points. Overall, you can earn thousands of points this way.
You will be able to change your aspiration, but it's important to note that the Trait gained from the skill cannot be changed. The first aspiration you choose essentially sets the groundwork for your personality.
Wants will appear based on what is happening around you, but can also be influenced by personality and aspiration. In the example above, our Sim wants to be tipped while playing an instrument because she has the musical genius aspiration.
A simple way to get more Satisfaction points is by using cheats. If you have never used cheats before, you will first need to enable them. This can be done by hitting the following buttons depending on your platform.
With that, you are set to start using cheats in The Sims 4. The cheat for Satisfaction points requires you to type in the number of points that you want. Thankfully, you can type very large numbers, reaching into the thousands. You can find this cheat below.
If you want to have 3,000 more Satisfaction points, you would type "sims.give_satisfaction_points 3000" into the command bar. After pressing 'Enter', the 3000 points will be applied, and you can then spend them in the rewards store.
Now, let's take a look at everything that you can purchase from the reward store. These rewards can be separated by potions and traits; potions provide instant results, while traits are applied to your Sim's life.
So I went to redeem my 1000 simpoints for the World Adventures Expansion pack after registering it on Origin, and I'd previously redeemed my 1000 simpoints for registering the base game. I clicked the "Redeem Points" button that was still there for some reason even though, as I said, I'd already redeemed the points from my base game. I thought perhaps it meant redeem points for WA and I'd put the game's code in but didn't ask for a code at all and it just gave me the simpoints. I thought perhaps it already knew I had WA and that was how you redeem it? But the button was still there afterwards and I began to worry that I'd accidentally registered my base game twice (since I have two EA accounts and can't remember which one I redeemed my base game on.) I clicked it again to see what would happen, if it would deny me or not, and it went through again, so then I had 2000 simpoints. I clicked it one more time, just to see, and now it says I have 3000 simpoints! Well, I just want my free 1000 simpoints that comes with WA, I don't wanna cheat the system and get more simpoints than what I'm entitled to (I would feel guilty!) nor do I wish to get in trouble for it. I tried contacting EA support but that didn't work, I can't tell if it's the website or my computer. So here I am, on the forums, searching for an answer. Can anyone please help me? How can I fix this? Why is this happening? Please and thank you!
@roseredpinball Origin and the Sims 3 store access the same account information, so if you register a pack in one, the other will also receive that information. Also, if you'd tried to enter your code in the store, you would have received a message that the code had already been used. So there's no way you could have registered the same base game code twice, either in two separate accounts or just the one.
One more thing to add: I hope you plan on taking advantage of the Daily Deal sales rotation. There are some great deals stilll available, and a few very helpful players have put together a chart outlining how it works. As a bonus, if you're trying to complete sets, you get credit for the full value of the item(s) you've purchased, not how much you paid for them.
The Sims 4 is a fun life sim game that offers gamers a chance to create virtual characters, Sims, and control every aspect of their life from start to finish. Having the power to customize the Sims' personality and lifestyle makes the game quite interesting.
The Sims 4 has a unique satisfaction points system, which, although, is a little tricky to understand, offers players a chance to earn a variety of awards. Players can earn these points in the game by completing aspirations, whims, and going on holidays. Of course, collecting these points can be time-consuming. Luckily, players don't have to go through all that hassle as they can quickly amass lots of satisfaction points using cheat codes. Here is how to earn satisfaction points with cheats in The Sims 4.
Before applying cheat codes in The Sims 4, players will have to activate them first. Fortunately, it is a fairly simple process that requires gamers to use different key combinations depending on the platform they are using.
With the cheats enabled, players should enter "sims.give_satisfaction_points x", replacing 'x' with their desired number of satisfaction points. For example, if a player wishes to acquire 1000 satisfaction points, they can input the cheat code as "sims.give_satisfaction_points 1000."
Did You Know? If you have Nightlife expansion pack, you can use the code agesimscheat on to age your Sim up or down. Enter the cheat, click on a sim, and choose "Set Age...". Then select a life stage you to have them automatically age up or down.
All of these cheats will require you to access the Command Console in your Sims 4 game. You can access this by utilizing the in-game command "CTRL + SHIFT + C" on a PC or "CMD + SHIFT + C" on a Mac to access the cheat console, and then entering the command "testingcheats true" (without the quotation marks). This will allow you to utilize a bevy of cheats and even re-access certain parts of The Sims 4 engine that are normally off-limits once you've created your Sim. So let's get cheating!
Sims, like the real friends, family members and personal nemeses you've (presumably) based them on, grow older and eventually die. However, unlike your friends and enemies, oldness can be a temporary condition for your Sims if you wish it to be.
To wreak havoc with digital chronomancy, you'll first have to access the command console and enable cheats (explained above). Then, as StackExchange's gaming board explains, enter in the command "cas.fulleditmode" (again, without the quotation marks). If you've entered it correctly, you should be able to shift-select your Sim and access Create a Sim mode again. Here, you can adjust your Sim's age slider back down from Elder to any one of the previous age groups. That's very handy if you don't want to continually spend your Satisfaction Points on a Potion of Youth.
Additionally, if you'd like to stop your Sims from aging entirely, you can simply go into the Options menu and select "no" for the setting "Auto Age (Played Sims)," which will disable aging on the Sims you're playing. You can do the same for unplayed Sims as well by unchecking the box for "Auto Age (Unplayed Sims)" as well.
Additionally, if your Sim is already pregnant, you can use the console command "sims.add_buff_Pregnancy_InLabor" to cause them to immediately give birth to a baby. You can use it on a Sim who hasn't already become pregnant with the "Try For Baby" action as well, but you won't get a baby out of it.
However, if you're only after the cosmetic look, you can use the console inputs "sims.add_buff_Pregnancy_Trimester1," "sims.add_buff_Pregnancy_Trimester2," and "sims.add_buff_Pregnancy_Trimester3" to make your Sim look like they're in various stages of pregnancy. It'll even work on ghosts!
Money cheats are a concept as old as the Sims series itself, and longtime players of Will Wright's simpleton family and potty-break-organizing simulator will probably have some of them memorized by now.
Just like in every previous Sims game, entering in the cheats "rosebud" and "kaching" will give your Sims family 1,000 Simoleons to spend. Entering in the command "motherlode" will grant you 50,000. You can also add a specific amount of cash by entering in "Sims.modify_funds +number" by substituting a number in the curly brackets, or you can use the code "Money number" to set your household's current money to that amount.
