Dear All,
Happy Diwali !!
We would like to draw your attention to a recent 'Billboard Advertising Campaign' that was carried out by the Houston Collective.
In the month of July 2015 the Houston Collective advertised their website which contained details of all their local Sahaja Yoga meetings on a 14feet X 48feet billboard. This was on a busy freeway leading to the Houston International Airport.
As a consequence of this initiative the number of hits on their website
www.houston-meditation.org increased, and also there was an increase in the number of people coming to their local meetings. Also, there was genuine feeling that the vibrations in the city uplifted.
When talking to some people at a local meeting and finding out how they found out about the meeting, some people mentioned the billboard. They mentioned they were driving and when seeing the advertisement they quickly googled the website and
found the local meeting. Other regular members of the meeting also said that their friends were telling them they saw the billboard.
In one instance a gentleman came to the meeting 4 months later. He originally saw the billboard but didn't get a chance to come straight-away. He is now a regular attendee and meditates regularly.
This pilot project from Houston sounds promising, that they are planning to do another campaign next year. It is an expensive means of advertising though. So do weigh in the local traffic, dynamics and support from the collective. Besides outdoor billboards,
there is also desire to advertise indoor at Malls, public transport and other areas. Please stay tuned for updates on template designs for those.
A good time to undertake the billboard advertising would be around Mother's birthday on the 21st March 2016.
Attached to this email is:
1. A document which provides further details on how to progress the billboard project in your local city, if you choose to do so.
2. Pictures of the billboard in Houston.
The Houston collective is very happy to provide any guidance and assistance to contact the ad agency and negotiate prices.
Jai Shri Mataji !
