Dear All, Jai Shri Mataji
Many of us do not seem to understand the significance and the greatness of the name Shri "Bhagwati" - one of the names by which we address Shri Mataji.
Please read the real meaning under the heading " Significance of the name - Shri Bhagwati".
In the year 2000, Shri Shiv Puja was held in Pune. After the Puja my name was announced and I was asked to come the stage to meet Shri Mataji. She was leaving when I reached the stage. I was not aware why The Divine Mother had called me. As per my usual habit I bowed in front of Shri Mataji and in my mind recited the prayer - "Bhagwati Mata Shri Nirmala Devi ki Jai". Then I relaised that Shri Mataji could hear everything and read our thoughts because She immediately said -"Aaa I am very fond of this name Bhagwati. ---Yours was the only letter among nearly 1000 letters written after Christmas Puja at Ganpatipule in which you expressed your joy and the vibrations felt during the Puja. All other letters were complaints about food or stay arrangements!!! God Bless You My Son".
This also shows that we must always see the positive aspects of all situations in SY. We are being spiritually educated and elevated at all times. All forms of
education must elevate, and emancipate human beings. Empowerment follows.
Negative thinking and speaking ruins our Sahaja status and we fall down and then have to make greater efforts to rise again by the Grace of Shri Bhagwati.

Significance of the name - Shri Bhagwati
Bhaga: Bhaga means six things together. They are the six attributes of God. And Bhagavati is the power of God, that’s why She is called like that; six basic attributes of God. First is Innocence. Second is Creativity. Third
is Palanhar – is the one which nourishes. See, if you put the gardener and the Mother Earth together then that quality is nourishment, growth and looking after, called as Palanhar. The sustenance is also there, the kindness, the control, the looking after,
the weeding out – and the enjoyment of seeing your creation. The one who makes our growth possible. Then He is Almighty. Nobody is more powerful than Him, He is the Most Powerful. And He is Unencompassable. He is All-pervading and He knows everything – ‘Sarvagya’.
He knows everything: Omniscient. This is Bhaga; and Bhagavati is the Power of God, without Bhagavati God has no meaning. It’s like moon and moonlight, it’s like sun and sunlight. You cannot differentiate. They are one and the same.
Ādi Shakti is the same as Bhagavati. She is called by many names. One of them is Nirmalā also.
