Research Project on Age Discrimination in Employment

Dear NSW Later Lawyers Network Members,
Sorry that I haven't been in touch for a while however have been very
busy working on our Speakers Program (details to follow) and caught up
with exams etc.
I wanted to let you know about a research project being undertaken on
the issue of Age Discrimination in Employment.

The research is being funded by the National Seniors Association, with
participation
by Professor Sue Field of the University of Western Sydney, Emeritus
Professor Sol Encel of the
University of New South Wales, the Australian Human Rights Commission,
and DLA Phillips Fox,
Lawyers.
The researchers are hoping to find and interview people (either sex)
aged 45+ who feel they have suffered age discrimination
in employment – e.g at recruitment, treatment at work, promotion
prospects, or retrenchment –
regardless of whether they have taken the matter further, and whether
or not they believe they can
prove it!
All information will be treated confidentially and the identities of
all persons and organizations will not be
revealed.
