UC Davis is hiring a Victim Advocacy Specialist to support the mission of its Center for Advocacy, Resources & Education (CARE). This position will directly support UC Davis and UC Davis Health students, staff, and faculty who have experienced sexual harassment and assault, intimate partner violence, and stalking by providing confidential crisis intervention, advocacy, and accompaniment.
The candidate must have significant experience providing crisis intervention and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence, and strong knowledge of anti-oppression and social justice approaches, trauma-informed practices, and legislation and regulations related to survivor rights and options. Candidates who are multilingual with the ability to provide services and written correspondence in Mandarin or Cantonese are encouraged to apply. This position is based at the UC Davis campus in Davis, CA.
