I stumbled over this via a list I am on. Smart Phone "battery life,"
that is how long it can go between charges is always an issue. This
gives some DATA, or conclusions based on DATA of how to minimize the
power being sucked out of the phone when it is on. That means it can
be used longer if you HAVE to. In general two things really hammer
the battery. The screen brightness level. How many "radios" are on
and searching. You have three sets. The cell signal radio, the WiFi
radio, and the GPS radio. (Short summary on radios. Airplane mode is
your friend. GPS off is good. (It will go on for a 911 call no
matter what you set.)
It is by the NYT so that terminology is more "civilian" and less geek.
