This a very informative GOOD call.

The TR90 launch was the biggest launch for Nu Skin being global. It
appears that AgeLOC Youth could have put it to shame. However the
inventory risk would have been huge. Nu Skin just wrote down a bunch
of inventory that had been destined for China. The financial folks
would NOT have been happy having the potential for a huge over hang of
inventory develop again. :-/

Truman Hunt walks us through the issues. Crashing Amazon Web Services
(AWS). (I will be looking for info on this in the trade press. That
is NOT supposed to happen, or be able to happen.) Not being able to
control AWS on a prompt basis. The estimating process, and why it was
reasonable with what typical response rates were. Then there is
AgeLOC Youth... What they "think" the actual response rates were.
(Four times normal) What they had on hand (170,000 units/bottles)
What they are rushing to get available as quickly as possible (180,000
units.). The impact on other area launches. (Air freighting rather
than shipping by sea.)

And then there is finding out that there was ~23M of orders for ~17M
of product after AWS kinda recovered and informed Nu Skin where they
were in the order process.

Truman also hinted at the issues surrounding NTC. Here is a link to

Listen to Truman's response to an an analyst's suggestion of "Why
don't you just kill the NTC program." (It is only ~1.5% of company
sales.) His response is that of a person and a corporation with a
HEART. From a corporate basis, killing it makes sense, now the impact
on the children.... :(:( Stand proud on Truman's and the rest of the
Nu Skin officers on working through to a success for NTC.

The Nu Skin Investor's Day presentation in December should be
"interesting." After being hammered in China and slower than desired
recovering, having a launch like AgeLOC Youth will be an "interesting
story." There will be concerns about "Pop and drop" but from the
"early AgeLOC user reports" I suspect that will not be an issue.

An IMPORTANT factor. That 180,000 units available to be ordered
sometime between the 18 Nov and 19 Nov. (Delivery later in November,
December and maybe January.) Each Executive has 2 codes that can be
used. That is 28 units/bottles. There are about 5K Executives in
the US. If every one of them used their codes that would be 140,000
units/bottles... Houston, there is the potential for a PROBLEM. (Or
the capsule packaging company (the bottle neck it appears.) will be
asked to put on additional shifts if they are not working 24/7 right
now. (And long term put more machinery into use.)) And remember
there are Executives out side the US w/ codes. Deliveries in January
are a real potential, and those are not the "Reload" orders in Late
January, plus there are kickoff sales in January.

I know of ~2000 bottles that were NOT able to be ordered Thursday.
Those folks are stressing 2 codes or 28 bottles additional don't help
them a lot. IF you have codes and will not be using them, be ready
for people to be nosing around asking for them. Remember Nu Skin is
TEAMWORK. Leaders WORKING TOGETHER. An unused code is like an empty
airplane seat after the door has closed and the plane has pushed back.
It is of NO USE/VALUE. Help those that want to use them, or fill that
seat.
