KERA Football Tournament 2014, Day 1 Match Results (League Matches)

Hi Members,

                     After an eventful Day 1 of the KERA Football matches, we are glad to announce that both our Teams Strikers and Bulls have reached the Quarter Finals of the Tournament. Both Teams exhibited excellent skills of the game with a professional approach and truly deserves a pat on the back.

 

Group A

Match 1

First Match was between NSS-A (Strikers) and TKM. Strikers won this match with ease scoring 3 - 0

 

Match 6

We (Strikers) then took on TRACE-B in our Second match and won quite convincingly with a score of 7 - 0

 

Group D

Match 7

No it was the turn of NSS-B (Bulls) to prove their the first match was with REC-A. Though we displayed wonderful football, Luck was in favour of REC-A. We lost to them by 1 - 0. They scored during the last 5 minutes of the game. Our Goal Keeper Farooq was outstanding on the field through out the match.

 

Match 12

This was the most cruicial and decider match for Group-D. Match between Bulls and MACE. It was a true battle on the field. We scored a Goal in the first half of the match and they returned it in the second half with few minutes to spare. Our players were determined to win and their efforts paid off in the last minutes of the game and we won the battle scoring 2 - 1.

 

                        All our players did an excellent job on the field and displayed extreme professionalism and delivered a stupendous performance. They played with Mastery. The extraordinary leadership shown by both the captains Krishna Kumar (Strikers) and Sibi Bruce (Bulls) is highly appreciable.

 

                       We hope that the same performance will continue on the field in the knock-out stage of the match, held next friday the 31st January 2014. We invite all those, who missed the action-packed (both on and off the field) first day of League matches to join us in cheering the Team for the upcoming matches.

 

All we request is a strong Ground Support to our Teams and help them grow with each match they play. So be there for the Quarter Finals on 31st January 2014 at Corner Football Grounds, near Lulu Hypermarket,Al Qusais.

Many Thanks to everyone for the support, the crowd support yesterday was the best , I felt even better than Safa a few years back.

And those who witnessed would agree, Team B's second match one epic fight,  what football is all about - a game where everything was at stake and we did it.
