Dear KERA members,
The summer is coming to an end; a nice weather is on its way. This is the right time to start CRICKET.
The dates for much awaited KERA CRICKET Tournament for this year is finalized.
The cricket tournament will start on 18 October 2013.
Venue:  Munawar ground, opp. Hamariya Free Zone, Ajman
Match Schedule:
Group A:  NIT, MAST & TRACE
Group B: CETA, CUBA & KEE
Group C: NSS, KEE & TKM
Day1 ( 18.10.2013)
Match 1 (8.45 to 12.15) - Ground 1    NIT Vs MAST
Match 2 (8.45 to 12.15) - Ground 2    CUBA Vs MACE
Match 3 (13.15 to 16.45) - Ground 1  NSS Vs TKM

Day2 ( 25.10.2013)
Match 1 (8.45 to 12.15) - Ground 1   NIT Vs TRACE
Match 2 (8.45 to 12.15) - Ground 2   NSS Vs KEE
Match 3 (13.15 to 16.45) - Ground 1 CETA Vs MACE

Day3 ( 01.11.2013)
Match 1 (8.45 to 12.15) - Ground 1   KEE Vs TKM
Match 2 (8.45 to 12.15) - Ground 2   CETA Vs CUBA
Match 3 (13.15 to 16.45) - Ground 1 MAST Vs TRACE

Day4 ( 08.11.2013)
Semi final  1 (8.00 to 11.30) -Ground 1   Pool B winner vs Fourth qualifier.
Semi final  2 (8.00 to 11.30 - Ground 2   Pool A winner vs Pool C winner
Final     (13.30 to 17.00) - Ground 1 
Coordinators for KERA Cricket tournament are Mr. JOHN EMMANUEL of MACE (050-6560365) and Mr. M. NARENDRAN of TRACE (055-8051805). I request each member college alumni to nominate a non-playing member to the coordination committee for the smooth conducting of the tournament.
I request all Cricket lovers and Team supporters to give their maximum support to the event by bringing more and more viewers to the venue for making the tournament a grand success.
Rules for the tournament will be finalized soon.

Dear Sirs
 
What kind of a planning is this??????????? ...................Not even a month's notice     !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The schedule used to be prepared based on a meeting  which includes representatives  from each  participant   cricket teams .
It is surprising to  announce a tournament with  such a short notice which does not provide ample  space to  plan and prepare .
Did any  of our colllege  alumini representative participated in this  meeting !
If so ,did  they discuss  the  schedule with the  team captain,I reckon this did not happen .
 
The MOST SUPRISING FACT being --- Mr John Emmanuel  ,The Chief Fuss Maker -on belhalf of MACE ,is felicitated as coordinator this year  for  his  performance in the previous edition which includes the the most ridiculous arguments ,acts and attempts to derail the tournament  itself.
 
The  way in which the  tournament  has been announnced clearly reiterates the  fact that the  attitude of this guy along with  his fellow coordinators has not moved a bit  in positively and it is hard to expect a  fair  tournament  this way around.
 
More over I do not see the logic  of  starting a tournament in a month with a string of holidays which drive the   people away  along with their families .
 
I request  our representives of KERA executive  to express our dissappointment and expect  their staunch efforts to change the tournament dates to the end of the year.

Dear all,

I am not aware of any captains meeting.

I got information from our Alumini that tournament will be held in November.

Last week I got a copied mail from Kera secretary to Prince asking my mobile number. 

In that mail it was mentioned that they are planning to start the tournament on Oct 18 and a captain's meeting will be held.

Now grouping, match dates are all fixed and we are informed through a mail.

Also Oct 18 is part of long weekend, many people have already scheduled trips accordingly.

This fact should have been considered while fixing the dates.
