National Association for Blind (NAB)

NAB (National Association for Blind) : The National Association for the Blind, Delhi, is the largest non-government, voluntary organization in India catering to the upliftment of the visually impaired. Their main aim is to realize personal independence, economic self reliance and social inclusion for all visually impaired people in India.
There are two centres where we volunteer :
Volunteering:
NAB HK : Volunteers aid visually impaired students to study their advanced courses, act as scribes, help out in administrative/ computer work of NAB, help NAB generate revenues by assisting visually impaired to create various handicrafts and act as accompanying aides for visits outside the center.
NAB RKP : The work shall range from editing books, recording books, voice recording, writing examinations for them etc. A new volunteering opportunity of teaching on a one-to-one basis is also available.
Days : Monday to Saturday
Timings : 10 am to 5 pm (slots available)
Venue : NAB Hauz Khas (near girls hostel gate)
NAB RK Puram (near boys hostel gate)
