Project Nirmalya

Enactus IITD

Project Nirmalya aims to reduce the amount of waste reaching the landfills, which are incapable of dealing with the excessive garbage generated by Delhi on a daily basis. Landfills have turned into vast mountains prone to collapse and fires, and also emit harmful gases and pollute groundwater through leachate seepage. On the other hand, waste if dealt with properly, can actually be a useful resource.

With this belief, volunteers are invited to join the members of team Nirmalya to schools to conduct awareness sessions for the students. Through presentations and activities, the students will be sensitized towards the magnitude of the problem and the methods to tackle it.
