ABOUT INDIAN ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN:

Indian Road Safety Campaign is the road safety initiative of Solve,  an organisation, set up by the students and alumni of IIT Delhi. It has grown to be a national level organisation working across 50 cities with help of 500+ colleges and 1700+ volunteers across awareness,  technical innovation,  law, policy, medical and other sectors in close association with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, UN,  WHO, Supreme Court etc to change the scenario of road safety in India. It believes in power of youth,  technology and Collaboration to achieve Vision Zero. 

ABOUT HACKATHON:

Aim:

• Develop implementable technical solutions for road safety problems such as road conditions.
• Come up with a complete architecture in the form of digital solution for the problem statements.

It will be a 2 month long competition in which you will be developing some App/Web based solution for given road safety problem. At each level winners will be awarded the awesome prizes and will have chance to intern with livemedia, Bosch, Ola etc.

The First Round of Hackthon will be from  16th February - 18th February. Hackathon will start from the Event by Live Media on "Role of Technology in Road Safety". Registered teams will be given problem statement there and they have to submit their idea abstract for the chosen problem. Top 50 teams will be selected for first round based on their idea abstracts.

Launch Event:

The Hackathon will be preceded by a session on "Role of Technology in Road Safety" which would mainly serve to give the participants a flavour of the kind of technical work that can be done on Road Safety and would also give them a food for thought for refining their problem statements. 

What's In for You:

• Project of the winner will be funded and taken forward as a startup.

• Internship opportunities by Bosch, Ola, LiveMedia to all the winners.

• Certificates and merchandise will be provided to all the participants.

• Top 5 teams will be interviewed by live media and will be featured in 6 lakhs screen across India.

• Prizes worth 2.5 Lakhs.

• Winners of round 1 will get a chance to present  their work in Kaizen - Annual Social Fest of IIT Delhi

• Refreshments will be provided to participants of Hackathon
