Project Buniyaad

The Delhi administration will launch ‘Mission Buniyaad’ from April this year to improve learning levels of students attending primary classes in the state government and municipal schools. ‘Mission Buniyaad’ is being launched in all government and municipal schools to target students of Class 3 to Class 8. Nearly 50% of the students studying in Class 3 of government, municipal and aided schools in Delhi were unable to prove their learning abilities in various subjects during the NAS conducted last year. Two teachers from each school will be trained who then have to impart this training to other teachers and then students are educated. As part of the project you will get an opportunity to manage these steps and ensure their execution with quality. 

Child Right Protection

Every week Delhi government receives complains on the violation of Child rights. With this project, along with the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights you will - 

1. Undertake field visits, interact with stakeholders and document the observations in the form of report
2. ‎Assist the Commission Member to take appropriate actions in the case of the violation of child right and field visit report prepared.

Examples:

• Visiting school and preparing detailed report about sanitation and drinking water situation for necessary action
• ‎Field visit to parents of child who has been denied admission in violation of the law and preparing report detailing facts of the case to ensure that the child is admitted
• ‎Visiting Mid-Day meal kitchens to inspect the quality of meals being served to children

NOTE:

1. NSS Bulk hours policy will be followed on regular involvement in the projects.
2. Volunteers will get to work with officials of Delhi Govt.
3. Letter of recommendation from government will be provided to all enthusiastic volunteers.
4. Selection procedure will be notified to registered candidates.
