Himalayan Chipko Foundation and NSS IIT, Delhi
present
"Garhwal Coaching Internship"
"One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world." - Malala Yousafzai
About Himalayan Chipko Foundation:

Himalayan Chipko Foundation (HCF) was formed to safeguard the environment and rights of the people of the Himalayas. The President of Himalayan Chipko Foundation, J P Dabral, is a social entrepreneur and a social activist. Honoured by the Ashoka Fellowship, Real Heroes Award by CNN IBN, International Green Apple Award by Green Organization, U.K. and the India Awaken Award by Hindustan Times, he is known mainly for the sustainable environment advocacy for the rural people in his native Uttarakhand.

About the Internship:
Himalayan Chipko Foundation will be conducting a month long training programme in Paukhal Inter College, Pauri Garhwal for coaching students from rural/poor background to prepare for JEE, PMT and other entrance examinations. The program will be held from 27th May, 2018 to 29th June, 2018 which will run in two batches of 16 days each. 2 volunteers per every subject (Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics) will be teaching there. Classes will be conducted daily from 8 am to 4 pm. Volunteers interested in teaching Biology are also welcome. Since the students in Garhwal are not aware of the numerous opportunities that are known to their counterparts in the metropolitan cities, we would also provide career counselling to students so that they are aware of the different opportunities. Volunteers will be residing in the premises of Paukhal Govt. Inter College during the Internship.

"You will surely feel great after spending a few days, doing social work in the beautiful Himalayas."

Deadline to register: April 18th, 2018
