About The Session:
The interactive session, as discussed above, aims at spreading awareness regarding cancer and palliative care, which mainly
focuses on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious
illness. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and
the family. It will help us
to understand what we, as individuals, can do if we encounter any such
incident/situation in our life. The session will be taken by some
specialists on Palliative Care from DNip Care NGO and Dr. Naresh Dua, Sr. Consultant Anesthesiologist at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi. He will convey facts and necessary information regarding Palliative Care, and make us aware of the myths prevailing nowadays. He will also be sharing their experience.
About DNip Care:
The mission under DNipCare aims
at the development of a sustainable cost-effective system of Palliative
Care with active community participation for patients suffering from
long-term, bed-ridden, incurable, life-limiting diseases including
Cancer.
About Dr. Naresh Dua:
Dr. Naresh Dua has a Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Surgery and masters in Anaesthesiology. He
has a keen interest in helping the mankind to get rid of pain and
sufferings. He is currently working as a senior consultant in Department
of Anesthesiology, Pain and Perioperative Medicine, Sir Ganga Ram
Hospital, New Delhi. Being the founder member and joint secretary of Indian Podiatry Association, he has been invited as faculty and speaker to many well esteemed National and International Conferences.
